About us
This website is intentionally not about us. It exists to point people to Jesus Christ - and to encourage those who follow Him to actually live as His disciples. This is not simply a place to learn about Christianity. It is a place to ask what it means to follow Jesus, obey Him and live the life He called His followers to live.
Jesus did not call us merely to agree with Him. He called us to follow Him. "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments" (John 14:15).
We want to ask honest questions:
- Do I actually follow Jesus, take up my cross and follow Him - or do I merely agree with Him?
- Does my life resemble the life Jesus called His disciples to live?
- Am I growing in holiness and bearing fruit?
- Am I obeying Jesus, or merely learning about Him?
- Am I loving God and loving people?
- Am I making disciples, or merely attending church and consuming Christian content?
- If someone looked at my life, would they see evidence that Jesus is Lord?
These are not questions reserved for pastors, missionaries or super Christians. They are questions for everyone who claims to follow Jesus.
Scripture, not us
For that reason, we have deliberately not included personal details, church affiliations or denominational background. This website is not here to promote a particular church, denomination or organisation.
The Bible instructs us to "study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analysing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skilfully teaching] the Word of Truth" (2 Timothy 2:15, AMPC). The Bereans were likewise commended because they examined the Scriptures daily to determine whether what they were being taught was true (Acts 17:11).
But examining Scripture should not end with information. The purpose of knowing God's Word is to live it. James warns us not merely to hear the Word, but to do what it says (James 1:22).
Am I a doer of the Word, or just a hearer?
Look at the fruit
Jesus said, "By their fruit you will recognise them" (Matthew 7:16). That should cause every Christian to examine their own life. The question is not simply what we believe, what church we attend or how much Bible knowledge we have. Are we becoming more like Jesus?
Discipleship is not an optional extra for particularly committed Christians - it is what Jesus called His followers to. The Bible also teaches that people are recognised by their fruit, not by the labels they wear or the organisations to which they belong. When Jesus addressed the seven churches in Revelation, He did not judge them by their name or affiliation, but by their faithfulness, their deeds and whether they remained true to Him.
For that reason, we encourage you not to accept what is written here simply because it appears on this site. Our desire is that you examine what is written here for yourself. Open your Bible. Read Scripture in context. Ask difficult questions. Test what you read. And then put what you discover into practice.
What fruit is my life producing?
The Great Commission
The Great Commission is not simply something Christians are meant to believe in. It is something Jesus expects His followers to do. Jesus said that "those who believe" would be involved in His ministry (Mark 16:17–18). He commanded His followers to go, proclaim the gospel, make disciples and teach them to obey everything He had commanded (Matthew 28:19–20). This is not a task for professional Christians. It is part of what it means to follow Jesus for every true Christian.
Not every believer will evangelise in the same way. We have different gifts, personalities and opportunities. But every believer can participate in the mission Jesus gave His followers: sharing what Christ has done, praying for people, laying hands on the sick, caring for those who are hurting, serving others and speaking about Jesus as the Holy Spirit leads.
We are not called simply to get people to agree with Christianity or increase their biblical knowledge. Jesus told His disciples to make disciples and teach them to obey everything He commanded.
Why this matters
We want people to know the love of God. We do not want people to remain separated from Him when reconciliation with God has been made possible through Jesus Christ. That is why we share the gospel - not because we are better than anyone else or have perfect lives, but because Jesus has changed us and entrusted His followers with the good news of what He has done.
We share because we love Him. We share because we love people. And we share because Jesus commanded us to make disciples. The gospel is not something we are meant to believe on Sunday and forget on Monday. It is meant to become our life.
Our hope is that these pages will not simply give you more Christian information. We want them to encourage you to open your Bible, examine your life, obey Jesus, depend on the Holy Spirit, love people, live the Great Commission, share the gospel and make disciples.
We want to encourage believers to move from information to obedience, from spectators to participants, and from merely hearing the Great Commission to actually living it.
If this website encourages you to become a more faithful disciple of Jesus Christ and to help others follow Him, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
Above all, we want people to encounter Jesus - not merely a website, denomination, organisation or theological system. Jesus is the centre. He is the One we follow, the One we proclaim, and the One we want others to know.
